These
drawings for Hope Centre in Nepal may be
suitable for you to use to make your own
rehabilitation centre?
This design works well ..and is based on 9 rooms
formed by 16 upright pillars and horizontal
beams linking them so it is
earthquake-proof....we believe!. The airflow
through the building is good and even the
bathroom has a vent/chimney that allows all
humidity to be exported, and also let in
light directly over the wash basin.
As a medical centre the rooms may be allocated
with X-ray room at the back, half of which
can be used for film developing. Also,
the kitchen may be allocated as the blood /
fluid testing laboratory, and one room as
a workshop for repairs of limbs and mobility
aids etc.
Costing about $20,000 US to build in 2009 in
Nepal it is a low cost but solid building.
